Bartleby mug

“Bartleby the Scrivener” is a short story by Herman Melville in which a man named Bartleby, who is employed as a scrivener by a Wallstreet lawyer, slowly stops working. He doesn’t make a grand declaration or give the boss the finger and walk out; instead he just begins to respond to every request with “I would prefer not to.” What an icon.

Each mug is wheel thrown and decorated by hand, making every piece a little different. The Bartleby mug holds about 12 ounces of liquid. It is dishwasher and microwave safe.
